I managed to lose several kilos by simply cutting out sugar and some carbs. Don't add any sugar to drinks like tea and coffee. When you buy soft drinks make sure they are sugar free.
Watch the size of your portions of food just eat moderately.
When buying at the supermarket look at packets if they are high in sugar over 3 or 4 grams for avg daily serving then don't buy it. Buy some healthy alternative.
Watch the carbs you are eating breads etc. Cut that back to a minimum.
